GUIDELINES FOR DONATIONS TO PILGRIM CHURCH


Furniture….Works of Art….Decorative Items

Thank you for offering to donate a piece of furniture, work of art, or other decorative item to Pilgrim Church!   The following guidelines will clarify how to proceed:

1)  Please complete and return to the church office the donation form, available from either the church office or website (www.pilgrimchurchucc.org).  This will allow you to share descriptive information about the item and how you would like it handled if, in the future, it is no longer needed.

2)  Include a snapshot of the item along with dimensions, colors, and condition.  Digital photos can be sent to the church email (pilgrimucc61@verizon.net); actual photos can be attached to the donation form. If obtaining a photo is difficult, please indicate this on your form; the committee will assist.

3)  The committee will acknowledge your offer and give you a idea of when a final decision regarding its acceptance will be made.  However, until all the new space can be viewed and in some cases “lived in,” we will not be able to determine exactly what will be needed. Thus, particularly in the next few months, decisions regarding acceptance of some donations may need to be on hold. 

4) If your donation is accepted,  you will receive written acknowledgment from the church. Determining value for IRS purposes is your responsibility.
