- Pilgrim Photo Op! (Sunday, May ll)--Come to church in your finest. Evangalism and Church Growth will be snapping individual and family
photos to update the display in the Fellowship Hall.
- Pletcher/Stinehelfer Spring Potluck (Saturday, May 10, 4-7 p.m.)--Pilgrim families with children (birth through teen years) are invited to the Pletcher/Stinehelfer home for a Spring picnic. Come for the food, fun and fellowship.
- Potomac Association Choir Festival, at Univeristy Baptist Church in College Park (May 17, 7:30 p.m.) --A celebration of UCC's 50th Anniversary and benefit for the Shaw Community Ministry. Directions:
3515 Campus Drive is near University Boulevard (Rte. 193), where it intersects with Adelphi Road, and across from the Marriott Inn and Conference Center, located at the University of Maryland. Parking is available in the church lots on the side and in back. DO NOT park on the street. (For detailed directions, use Mapquest. Directions from Google or a car GPS will direct you to the other side of the College Park Campus. University Church is not on the campus.)
- Pilgrim Yard Sale (May 31) --Start organizing your “stuff” for resale! A portion of your proceeds will support our August Katrina recovery project.
- All-Churches Pilgrim Picnic (Sunday, June 22) --We will begin with a brief service of worship for all five congregations that worship at Pilgrim Church (Liberty Baptist Korean Church, Tamil Christian Church, Iglesia Cristiana Tabernaculo de Restauracion, Glenmont Seventh Day Adventist and Pilgrim UCC). Following our time of shared worship, there will be fun, games, and food for everyone.
- Gulf Coast Recovery Mission (August 17-23) --For the third year in a row, Pilgrim Church will send volunteers to Biloxi, Mississippi, to help rebuild homes damaged by Hurricane Katrina in 2005—and YOU are invited to participate! This experience is open to youth (age 14 and up) and adults. Friends and extended family members are welcome to join!
- Prague Advent Choir Festival (November 19-29, 2008) --Our choir has been invited by the city of Prague to participate in the Advent Choral Festival. The choir is extending an invitation to the Prilgrim Church family to join them for this wonderful opportunity to delight in the sights and sounds of the advent season in Prague, Salzburg and Vienna.
